Nice cool crisp taste leaves a refreshing non bloating feel after every pint.

Viking & Gull are the local beers they are ok but pricy at 5 to 6 pounds. You can get stout and pale ales for similar prices. The city has lots of bars.

Beer is very, very expensive in Iceland. Icelanders buy beer in a special liquor store, drink it at home, then go to the pubs where the beer is almost three times the price in the liquor store.
