Smoked beer (Rauchbier), an acquired taste but once acquired it is the most heavenly experience known to man. All of you who drink Fosters or Carlsberg do not actually like beer. Try this one and be a man.

Bamberg is in the Fraconian district in Northern Bavaria. The area has the highest concentration of breweries in Germany. The typical brewery slings their 500ml suds for about 2 Euro. Bars tend to average around 2.50 Euro. Home of the Rauchbier, a smoky lager that is a must try, albeit it is definately an acquired taste.
