If you love to drink you came to the right place, the best quality vs price. You can find great beers in every parts of the country with prices like 0,50€ 25cl, 2,00€ 1l, or at the worst cenarium, 3€ 25cl(pression beer in a glass-very good in portugal)in a club or luxurious bars(grat views in lisbon or something like that). We get drunk very quickly at portugal and with the most satisfaction you can imagine. I love it

Nice place, clean and tidy. Beer prices vary between 1 Euro and 3 Euros depending on where and when you buy. Happpy hours go on at many different places, some are all day happy hours, others are say till 5pm or 11pm etc. By shopping around you won't get ripped off. Pint sizes differ actually and asking for a 'large beer' gets you something that looks like a pint whilst in other places it is actually a pint. The old town is probably a bit more expensive than the newer part of Albufeira where the supposedly famous 'Strip' is located but again there are happy hours all over - enjoy your stay.

The ScotsRock, just off the Strip. Opened April 2005 has one of the best breakfasts ever. Entertainment every day, they even have a singer at times (thanks Martin). Pop in for a beer or bite to eat, I'll be there this April!

Sagres and Superbock. The Sagres 'Red' is a darker fuller flavoured bottled beer. The price varies a lot according to the type of premises. The turist traps cost more. Lots of bars in the Barrio and the Alfarma areas also have Fado singers adding their own brand of angst to the evening. English and Irish beers, Killkenny and Guniness sold at a lot of 'English Pubs' in Estoril a 40minute ride by tain down the coast. Lisbon has numerous bars and restaurants selling beer and the local sweet cherry liquer 'ginjha'. Ther is even a monastery near the Barrio Alto brewing and selling their own beer.
