San Mig, and San Mig Light, usually 60p-£1 for a bottle, but a bit of chat and a few rounds at one bar will keep them coming to you at 'Happy Hour' prices. Night Clubs usually 90p upwards for a beer, but most bars average 70p-80p for a bottle. You may pay a few pence more for premium beers (Heineken, etc).

Visited both places in 2009. Beers were VERY cheap. Manilla, anything from 40p upwards. Some hotels were £1, but bars in general around 50p. If you go during 'happy hour', expect to pay as little as 30p. Similar prices in Cebu, anything from 40p upwards. In a bar, I never paid more than 60p for a bottle of beer. These prices are based on the local 'San Mig' and it's various types: Light, Pale Pils, etc.

I buy San Miguel Pilsen from the shop, 28 peso per bottle. Very good beer. Must be the best price/quality in Asia. BeerLao is best but more expensive. Even cheap in restaurants. S.M Light is a bit tasteless and S.M Red Horse strong. Almost impossible to find any other beer but San Miguel here. There are Colt 45 adverts, but nobody seems to sell it. 28 pesos for 33 ml bottle of S.M Pilsen in my local sari-sari store
