Lyon
Total rip off in bars and hotels(Ibis 9 euros for 2 drinks of lager 500ml & 250 ml). In city same drinks plus a fruit juice-12 euros

lyon
a rich strong dark beer

Lyon
Good selection of pubs, mostly in Vieux Lyon (the old town), prices between 4,50 and 5,50 euro a pint for lager (Kro, Stella, etc), often a bit cheaper before 9pm. Guinness, Kilkenny, etc cost between 5 and 6 euros. Cheapest Guinness in Lyon is Paddy's Corner at Croix Rousse (5 euro a pint) and James Joyce on Rue St Jean near the Cathedral in Vieux Lyon (4.50 a pint before 9pm, 5.30 a pint after 9pm).

Lyon
Can be as low as 4 euros a pint (half litre) up to 9pm, may be as high as 6 euros. Beers other than standard lager (e.g. Leffe, Kilkenny, Guinness, Affligem) are typically a euro more expensive (5 to 6 euros a pint normally).

Nantes
The 'Kro' in Nantes that another user said was 2euro in the Lieu Unique is for "un demi" (25cl!!!!!!) not for a pint!

Nantes

Nice
Most of the bars on th main streets were charging over 6 euros where uif you went up the alleyways and non restaurants you could get beers for 3euro50

Nice
On the beach at Quai des Etats Unis - a marquis and seafront bar - €8 for a pint of Heineken and €12.90 for a (UK measure) G&T. Nice views!!!

Nice
The french are idots and they don't know how to have a good time. All nice is is 4 irish pubs, a load of kids on roller skates bedding for money and 100's of over priced cafes selling 9euro half pints with an inch of throth. PURE SKANK!!!

Nice
With the terrible exchange euro - pound, can be expensive. I was in Nice September 2009, Happy Hour usually is 5-9pm (M-Tue allday) @ E3.50 - 4.00. after happy hour places ask about E5.50-6.10 for a pint. The best places to go are DeKlomp (500ml Erdinger E4 happy hour and plenty of pints), Waynes, Ma Nolans, and lots of local french bars in the old town. There is a nice restaurant on Bvd Victor Hugo selling pints of Hoegarden for E5.00 all day. If the euro-pound was 1.5 then Nice would be okay, but at the moment you are better having a few early evening then moving to wine later on, which is failry cheap. Spirits are about E5 happy hour, E7 lateron. Hope this helps

NICE
VERY NICE PLACE, A PINT WAS ABOUT 6 - 6 1/2 EUROS VERY EXPENSIVE 3.80 AT WAYNES BAR DURING HAPPY HOUR NOV 2009 V

Nice
Nice is a great city to live and work , although remember you are in the S of France , so nothing is cheap. If you're from the Uk it's a bit of a shock , although if you head away from Prom Anglais , you can find cheaper pints , mostly in old Nice , and not just Irish pubs.Although now having lived in France for the last few years , the best bet is to switch to wine and learn French.

Orleans
At campsite Parc de Alicourts, Pierrefitte

Paris
France aren't really renouned for their beers. Get some Leffe (Belgian) if it's not too expensive but if you can find some cheap Kronenbourg 1664 then it isn't too bad.

paris

PARIS
Price of a pint of bitter in the "Frog and Princess"

Paris

Paris
Just got back from Paris - and be warned that beer is VERY expensive! Not just the touristy places, but everywhere. Regularly paid 7-9 euros for 50cl. Coffee and soft drink also hugely inflated.

Paris
incredibly expensive - and not just the tourist haunts. You pay anything from 7 - 10 euros a pint (50cl)

PARIS

Paris
€10 in the Novotel Les Halles bar. €8.50 in Rive Droite bar cafe in Les Halles. €8.50 in this bar near the Pompidou centre. The cheapest place we found was O'Sullivans Rebel Bar on Rue Des Lombards. €3.60 for a pint. But i think it must've been happy hour because all the menus said €6.30 for a pint of Kronenbourg.

paris
VERY EXPENSIVE

Paris
Beer in Paris is ridiculously expensive. A 500ml glass will cost you anywhere between 7.30euro to 10euro for Heineken. Think up to 20euros for Leffe

paris

Paris
Happy Hour @ Hideout, 2.5€ !!!

Paris
Happy Hour @ Hideout !

Paris
For tourist beer's price is 7,5€ ... But when you live in Paris, it's easy to find Pub where the beer cost around 5€ for 50cl. (It's always expansive) In happy hour you can find 2,5€ or 3€, I think it's a normal price.

paris
Typical price for Stella, Heineken etc

Paris
Just got back from Paris 14/05/09: stayed in the Opera district and Heineken, Stella etc around the €6-7 mark. Coffee at €3.5 a cup - bloody expensive!!

Paris
Visited end April, beginning of May 2009. Good quality beer available everywhere, but VERY expensive. Happy hours not easy to come by. Between 7.40 and 8.40 EUR for a 50cl glass (just under a pint)

paris
paris 8 euros a pint,....

Paris
Paris is littered with tourist traps, but you can have a pint of guinness for 5€ if you know where to go. Avoid everything around Notre Dame, Opera, and Champs Elysée. The best prices are at the Hideout (Chatelet), The Wall (Place monge) and in general around Mouffetard.

Paris
Very expensive city. The range is EUR6-10 for an average pint in a bar. In a club or in a tourist zone, it can easily be double.

paris
Rubbish ber, will never set foot in place again

paris
pints are very expensive, you pay 12€ for a pint near the Eiffel tower.

Paris
Absolute rip off. Average price EUR8.5.

Paris
guinness tavern (rue de Lombards), only place I found cold Guinness and showed the footy. 6 euro

Paris
Astronomical prices for lager throughout the city. Not the place to go if you want to drink more that half a pint an hour!

paris
Rip-off city. Expect to pay around 4-5 euros for 25cl of Kronenburg in any bar or bistro. Or from a supermarket for next to nothing. Insane.

Paris
A great city but prices for drinks are way too high. A pint (or 0.5 litre) is gonna be anything between £5 - £8! Insane. Even a cup of tea of coffee might set you back £5.I would go back more often but it's just too expensive.

paris
the average in the paris city i found was around 8 Euro's the highest being 15 Euros for a 500cc glass !!!!

Paris
0.5 litre Heineken brasserie close to Gare de L'est pais 9.80 Euros on Sep. 17th 2009

Paris

paris
shit beer shit price

paris
a draft 1pint lager paris = 11 euro. what a rip off

Paris
2.5€/pint at the Hideout (Chatelet, bastille, Odeon, Gare du nord) and many bars near Mouffetard or Oberkampf

Paris
The least we paid for 50cl was €5 which was during a happy hour. The most expensive was €10,50. I would say the average across the city was roughly €8. Supermarket booze is very, very cheap though, so I suggest plentiful pre-drinking if you're going out to get steaming. Get on the Belgian beer in the bars. Proper job.

paris
for 500ml which is less than a pint

Paris
10 Euros plus if you are anywhere near a tourist attraction

Paris
Beurk

Paris
Awful pints, everywhere. Cant wait to get back to Ireland for a decent pint and for €4.

Paris
9 euro's for .50 paris/porte d'orleans...

Paris
All the beer in france in bars cafes and restaurants is ridiculously expensive

Paris
all prices seem to be 8.40euros which is about £7.50

Paris
A pint usually ranges between 5-8€. Most people drink half pints. Stupidly expensive town for a beer, no beer culture, limited types of beer available.

Paris
Very pricey for a pint!

Paris
Great city but expensive beer. A local beer - Record special pression - is very strong but one of the cheapest (between 2 euros and 2.50 euros standing at the bar for a demi pression - but this is 25cl, the normal measure, but it is less than half a pint), but is not served in many places. Remember that standing up bar prices and sitting down prices are very different; sitting down can add 50% or more to the price. Some places have Happy Hours (usually 5 or 6pm to 8pm), at 5 euros a pint.

Paris - Latin quarter
Beer worked out 6-7 GBP per pint. Happy hours in the area run from 5pm to 9pm where the beer is reduced to 5 GBP per pint. Not really a happy hour as we know it where you get 2 for the price of one. Prices correct as of August 2010

Paris 13 Butte aux Cailles

St Germain-en-Laye
Try "The Bitter End": a really nice English pub that will serve you a very decent pint. However, the notion of nipping down to the pub for a couple of pints has lost its allure given the astronomical price: €7 a pint.
