“Please ask for the litre "Litro" "grande" bottles and share them as Peruvians do. Because tourists always want their own little bottle they are starting to replace the better value big ones (and richer/stupider Peruvians think they are cooler getting the wee bottles!) When buying bottles in shops and supermarkets you usually have to pay a deposit for the bottles. Pisco is lovely too!”

“Don´t stick to boring Miraflores. The centre and Barranco are much nicer. Eat ceviche as a hangover cure as the locals do. Try it even if you think you won´t like it, it´s delicious, addictive and safe to eat - the lime juice would kill any germs and the fish is always fresh.”
