Most star hotels serve alcohol in bars with limited entry rules. A pint would serve for 6-8USD. Sale and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited outside these Govt. licenced bars, and patrons are required to be on their best behaviour after a visit.

This is now the standard price of a pint in Dubai. Some of the higher end hotels are charging 8.38 pounds sterling for a pint of beer. Dubai recently increased taxes on hotels and pretty much everything is going up. The same price is applicable for a shot of tequila costing about 7pounds. This price is standard average in all the main tourist areas of Dubai. Only the cheapest places which are in old areas charge the prices listed on your site.
