Arequipena is a great beer,so is cusquena and both are about £1 for alarge bottle.

Pilsen Callao, the best beer in Peru! Just ask for "1 Caja" you will get 12 for less than 10 dollars

Sitting in the biggest medieval square in beautiful March sunshine drinking pints of cold crisp lager for under £1.50 a pint. Less than 2 minutes walk from the square, we found an underground drinking establishment serving beer for a quid, until 6.30 in the morning.

Cusqueña and Crystal were the main beers and were OK. In Cusco the Irish pub and the Norton pub, both just off the main square and to the right of the cathedral, sold Speckled Hen, Abbot and Greene King on draught, working out at £2.86 per pint, in pint glasses. (I paid over £3 on my overnight stop near Heathrow Airport the night before I flew to Peru). In addition the Norton pub had a fridge full of bottled beers, including 4 from Sam Smith's and 4 from Fullers. Also, I think, one from Marstons. But they were over £4 per pint

Nice little restaurant in the town square. The tables and chairs are out in the street. You eat and drink as traffic drives around you.

Yurimaguas
Very nice Lager Beer from Iquitos - equally as good and if not better than All Australian Beers combined. Yurimaguas is in the Amazon on the Huallaga River 4 days from Iquitos in the Jungle. You board a boat and then go to Iquitos past the Pacaya Samiria National Park along the Maranon River which later flows into the Amazon River shortly before Iquitos. Great Beer, Great Price, Great People, Great Scenery and fantastic Food.
