Bamberg
Bamberg is in the Fraconian district in Northern Bavaria. The area has the highest concentration of breweries in Germany. The typical brewery slings their 500ml suds for about 2 Euro. Bars tend to average around 2.50 Euro. Home of the Rauchbier, a smoky lager that is a must try, albeit it is definately an acquired taste.
Bamberg
There are so many bierkellers around Bamberg, and most of them charge between €1.60 and €2.20 you can also take your own food with you.In Bamberg Spezi is €2.20 Faessla €2.10 Mahr €2.20. The Beer is far superior to UK piss.

Berlin
Berlin-Spandau
Berlin
Smoky corner bars, about 2.50 euro; local restaurants 3.50-ish, touristy bars, 4.50-ish.
Berlin
I currently have lived in Berlin for almost a year (2008-2009), and beer prices vary from one place to another, and the type of place you get it in. Beers from discount grocery stores (Aldi, plus, lidl) can be found from 0.25, but the quality is not very good. Beers from a drink shop (not near tourist areas) will cost between 0.80 and 1.50, even the good ones, depending on the brand of beer. Bars, cafes and restaurants will range anywhere from 2.50 to 3.50, and in tourist areas can get up to 5.00. Your best bet for cheap and good beer is to go into one of the neighborhoods outside of the city center (Friedrichshain for example), and find any pub, which will not be hard. All beers peviously mentioned are for half litre, and cost in euros.
Berlin
surprisingly pretty average but above average prices and never with a smile
Berlin
The prices on this site for Berlin / Germany are too low. A pint in Berlin will cost an average of 3 euros, if not slightly higher. Some bars still manage to sell pints for 2.70 or 2.80, but many now have raised prices to 3 euros or more. And Irish pubs are all much more expensive - about 4.20 for a Guinness etc

The price range ist from 2,00 to 3,80. It just depends in which pub you are. Bremen has no closing times. So a lot pubs don`t have fixed closing times. Someof them never close. So you can even find pubs at the early morning open. A lot of them are in the Steintor ostertor area.

The beer in Germany is absolutely delicious, much cleaner than beer in U.K. + Ireland and the beer tends to much stronger too. On average I paid about 2,40 euro for 500ml and the beer was about 6% alc. on average which is about 50% stronger than U.K. beer

Go to Kloster Andechs in Upper Bavaria near the eastern shore of Lake Ammersee. It is easily accessable from Munich by taking the S-Bahn. The monks at the Monastery have been brewing beer since it's founding by a Benedictine Order in the Middle Ages. Try the Doppelbock Dunkel. Their motto is "A Pleasure for Body and Soul". If you are a beer lover, this place is heaven.
Munich
Prices seriously inflated for Oktoberfest. Standard beer prices up by around 30%. Spirits also up. Hard Rock Cafe prices amongst the highest in town, although the atmosphere and memorabilia more than makes up for it.
