Acceptable beer, local beer seemed to be Hopfenperl, which was nice, but (possibly due to my poor french) I couldn't get it in a pint (well half a liter).

Rolled into the train station and stopped by the snack bar and got 12 ounce Feldschlossen for 3.75 swiss francs, thats about 3.55 USD. Stock up, they dont open them unless you ask.

The Great Escape (www.the-great.ch) has the best prices for beer in Lausanne with Heineken (much better than the nasty Cardinal lager) only sfr 7 a half liter. In addition you can watch live premier league games on large screen and there are two happy hours a day!
