I drunk a lot of beers with 0.80€ each in berlin, specially at the old war part of the city

1,33
Schwuchtelkamlin Im Biergarten "Zum Hopfigen", an der Leiendenker Allee, oberhalb der Kieselbranli.

Bamberg
Bamberg is in the Fraconian district in Northern Bavaria. The area has the highest concentration of breweries in Germany. The typical brewery slings their 500ml suds for about 2 Euro. Bars tend to average around 2.50 Euro. Home of the Rauchbier, a smoky lager that is a must try, albeit it is definately an acquired taste.

Bamberg
There are so many bierkellers around Bamberg, and most of them charge between €1.60 and €2.20 you can also take your own food with you.In Bamberg Spezi is €2.20 Faessla €2.10 Mahr €2.20. The Beer is far superior to UK piss.

Berlin
Half a liter of beer in normal bars of Berlin is from about €2 - €4, I know them all...

Berlin
Berlin-Spandau

Berlin
Smoky corner bars, about 2.50 euro; local restaurants 3.50-ish, touristy bars, 4.50-ish.

Berlin
I currently have lived in Berlin for almost a year (2008-2009), and beer prices vary from one place to another, and the type of place you get it in. Beers from discount grocery stores (Aldi, plus, lidl) can be found from 0.25, but the quality is not very good. Beers from a drink shop (not near tourist areas) will cost between 0.80 and 1.50, even the good ones, depending on the brand of beer. Bars, cafes and restaurants will range anywhere from 2.50 to 3.50, and in tourist areas can get up to 5.00. Your best bet for cheap and good beer is to go into one of the neighborhoods outside of the city center (Friedrichshain for example), and find any pub, which will not be hard. All beers peviously mentioned are for half litre, and cost in euros.

Berlin
surprisingly pretty average but above average prices and never with a smile

bielefeld

bielefeld
1 euro becks im Bierkeller (Studitreff)

Bielefeld
Im AJZ Bielefeld: Flaschenbier (Becks, Krombacher, Herforder, Erdinger Weizen) für €1,80 EUR

Bonn
recalculated beer price of a pint (ca. 0.5 litre) - most other entries gave wrong prices

Bonn
the best and cheapest beer on planet!!

Bremen
The price range ist from 2,00 to 3,80. It just depends in which pub you are. Bremen has no closing times. So a lot pubs don`t have fixed closing times. Someof them never close. So you can even find pubs at the early morning open. A lot of them are in the Steintor ostertor area.

Cologne
It seems most people took the price of one glass(0.2-0.3l), not th eprice of a pint.

cologne
lovely local wheat beer but was about 3 euros 70.

Cologne
The "Kölsch" from Cologne is the worst beer in the world. It just tastes like the smell of an old blood dog in the rain.

cologne
kölsch

Cologne / Koeln
Koelsh, the local beer, which is much like a pils, is served in small 0.2l glasses: So price per pint is between 3.25 and 4.5 euros The city is awash with excellent bars, but the best area is around Buttermarkt / Altmarkt

Dresden
Radeberger is the most famous beer from eastern germany. It is brewed in Radeberg, a little town near Dresden. Radeberger delivered the former saxon kingscourt.

Dresden

Duesseldorf
Looking for a good bar serving beer that is representative of this area of Germany.

Duesseldorf
Just visit "Das Uerige" for a well-tasting glass of "Alt"-Beer. Also well known is "Fuechsen".

Duesseldorf
The "Alt" from Duesseldorf is OK. It tastes much better than "Kölsch" from Cologne. A half liter cost 3,00 to 4,00 €.

Dusseldorf
5.50 EURO FOR 3 (about 1/3 of a pint)

Ellingen
Famous and delicious "Schlossgold" of the Duke Carl Brewery - they also have an unfiltered "Cellar-Bier" - just great!

Eppstein
http://www.pflasterschisser-eppstein.de

Erlangen
The beer isn't sold in pints but in "Maß". A "Maß" contains one liter of beer and costs 7€.

Essen
Cheaper places from about €2.90 to about €4.20 in the trendy bars.

Flensburg

Frankfurt
Alt Oberurseler Brauhaus Making their own beer. Making Schnaps from beer. Having a beerglassroulette. Big Beergarden, old romantic House with lots of wallpaintings. Live music, Kabarett, and a real good homemade beer. Also one of the strongest beer in the world. more informations www.meinbier.de

Freiburg
check out the "Inselhopf" brew in the Hausbrauerei Feierling Biergarten

Friedrichshafen
The beer in Germany is absolutely delicious, much cleaner than beer in U.K. + Ireland and the beer tends to much stronger too. On average I paid about 2,40 euro for 500ml and the beer was about 6% alc. on average which is about 50% stronger than U.K. beer

Mainz
Generally you will pay around 3 Euro for a normal sized beer, unless you find yourself in a small hole in the wall type place.

München
only €5 for a liter in one glass.

Munich
You can either get half litre (pint) or litre. There is not such thing as a half pint or pot as it is called in Australia.

Munich
Go to Kloster Andechs in Upper Bavaria near the eastern shore of Lake Ammersee. It is easily accessable from Munich by taking the S-Bahn. The monks at the Monastery have been brewing beer since it's founding by a Benedictine Order in the Middle Ages. Try the Doppelbock Dunkel. Their motto is "A Pleasure for Body and Soul". If you are a beer lover, this place is heaven.

Munich
Prices seriously inflated for Oktoberfest. Standard beer prices up by around 30%. Spirits also up. Hard Rock Cafe prices amongst the highest in town, although the atmosphere and memorabilia more than makes up for it.

Nuremberg
Half a million people here. There are more breweries in this region than in any other in the world - worth a visit? Yes - some of the beers (esp. dark ones) are wonderful.

Nürnberg

Cute small brewery in a pretty old town in Baden. The beer is excellent and there's a beer garden in summer. And if you're still thirsty you can buy bottles to take away. Useful if you got there on your bike.
